We ordered the 3 piece tender combo which includes 3 tenders, garlic butter bread, fries and drink. The fries were amazing, with a nice crisp pairing well with the ranch provided. The bread was soft, light and flavourful and the drink was refillable, yet the chicken was average. The staff were super kind and friendly and the place was small yet had a cosy atmosphere.
This was my first time going to slim chickens and I was IMPRESSED! The tenders were amazing and the chips and sauces were delicious! One downside is that one of the members of our party needed to pay with cash and even though there was a till which could process cash the guy said that it's card only.
How fried chicken should be....! Was great to see these guys have opened in Cambridge now, and glad I stopped in for a visit. The selection is great so there's enough to keep everyone happy here. From wings to tenders to wraps to loaded fries and all the sides and sauces you could ever need. Oh and shakes too. Definitely don't forget the shakes! Plenty of seating inside and service was quick but it wasn't too busy when we visited. When you are hungry and there is so much to choose from, throw in some FOMO it can be hard to decide. But I'm glad I got some wings, as the meat was so tender from their marinade before frying. And great crunch on the coating too. Not greasy. Very good. Then the selection of dips is what sets these guys apart, so many to choose from meaning you can have each wing or tender in a different flavour. Maybe 20 So good. The food was all nice and hot too which makes a nice change from some other fast food places. I had the Biscoff shake which was nice and thick and perfect to put out the fire from some of the hot sauces The restaurant was very clean with all empty tables cleared and cleaned down, and all the staff we met were all friendly, and so I would definitely go back again with friends or family. For clarity this review was written from an invite from the team to go in and give them a try, but I am free to give my own opinion. Slim Chickens are on all the local big delivery apps. The staff were incredibly kind and understanding when I didn't have my card, even going out of their way to give me free food. It's not just the generosity that stood out; the atmosphere was so welcoming and vibrant. The combination of delicious food and friendly service made it a memorable visit. I highly recommend Slim Chickens to anyone looking for a great meal in a fantastic environment!
The food is phenomenal, really tasty fresh chicken, fries were crispy and flavourful. Such a large range of dips included in the meal! The staff were brilliant, the manager resolved an issue for me with my order which was my fault, so they didn't need to go above and beyond but they did. The only negatives are, it's a bit pricey, and the drinks machine suggests it would dispense flavours such as vanilla or cherry in the drinks but these werent available.
I had high expectations and those expectations were 100% met. Amazing and unique seasonings, crispy chicken fried to perfection and a large selection of sauces. Overall I had a great experience. But excluding that I recommend you try it out.
First time at a slim chickens and I will be back. The tenders actually feel like your eating chicken rather than something processed. Crispy coating was nice and not greasy. The wings I had the crispy version and these were as they said crispy. Massively impressed with the choice of sauces and I think they amount to like 16 or so choices. This is a nice branch that looks out to the park. Service was happy and helpful and quick. Defo a top fast food experience I'd say.
